Your First AI Photo
Generate a professional product photo in under 60 seconds. This guide walks you through a background replacement — the quickest way to see PixoKit in action.
Step-by-Step
1. Open PixoKit in your Shopify admin
Navigate to Apps > PixoKit in your Shopify admin sidebar.
2. Go to Products
Click Products in the app navigation. You'll see your full Shopify product catalog.
3. Select a product
Click any product that has at least one image. You'll land on the product detail page.
4. Choose "Background Replace"
In the generation panel on the left, the Background Replace tab is selected by default.
- Pick a template (e.g., "Studio Clean", "Lifestyle Room") or write a custom prompt describing the background you want
- Example prompt: "Minimal marble table with soft morning light and a green plant in the background"
5. Click "Generate"
The AI will process your image. This typically takes 20-40 seconds.
- Your credits will be deducted immediately (3 credits for background replacement)
- You'll see a progress indicator while the image is being generated
6. View the result
Once complete, your AI photo appears in the product's generated image history on the right side.
7. Push to Shopify (optional)
Click Push to Shopify on the generated image to add it directly to your product's media gallery in Shopify.
Tips for Best Results
- Use high-quality source images — the AI works best with clear, well-lit product photos
- Products on plain backgrounds produce the best background replacements
- Set up your Brand Kit first if you want consistent brand colors across all generated images
